Background

Sherry has an impressive show business background.  She was featured vocalist with such great orchestras as Billy May, Sam Donahue and Sammy Kaye.  After successful road tours she moved to New York City and attended the renowned Camilucci Music Conservatory, where Richard Rodgers heard her and chose Sherry for his production of Babes in Arms.  Following that, she appeared in a national company of Make a Million, playing opposite Jack Carson, comedy star of Warner Brothers' movies.

Some of her musical theatre credits include Annie Get Your Gun and starring roles in Kiss me Kate, Flower Drum Song, Pal Joey, Fiorello, Bells are Ringing and Guys and Dolls.  And in Moss Hart's comedy Mr. Roberts, Sherry played the nurse with Howard Keel as Mr. Roberts.  Sherry Kaye also sang the role of Jane in Leave it to Jane.

She was a featured player in repertory companies throughout the United States, and has numerous TV credits including The Sherry Kaye Show, Contact Nine and Woman's World at  then CKLW TV-9 in Canada.

Sherry has appeared in national TV commercials, industrial shows and sang jingles that were heard on radio and TV.  And she was the first "Lady in the Locker Room," a show she developed and performed in syndication.

She belongs to the performing unions Actors Equity Association and American Federation of TV and Radio Artists.
